Under the umbrella of “We care & connect”, NIVEA and the international children’s development organization Plan jointly support educational projects for children and youth living in poverty around the world. The goal of the partnership is to improve the future prospects of young people – based on the principle “helping people to help themselves”. Since the international partnership was launched in 2009, a series of successful projects and initiatives have already been carried out in collaboration with Beiersdorf affiliates.
Everything Beiersdorf does for society is based on five criteria: longevity, local relevance, measurability, mutually-beneficial and continuous improvement. In order to ensure that our involvement is sustainable, we are active in long-term cooperative projects. The worldwide implementation of these projects takes place in close collaboration with local affiliates and is carefully adapted to local needs. Beiersdorf’s goal is to contribute to a measurable improvement in the living conditions of individual people and groups in the countries where the company is active. This means the projects must be beneficial to all those involved: society, the cooperative partners and the company.
