Application Process & Procedure of the BEYOND BORDERS Trainee Program

While getting a spot in our BEYOND BORDERS trainee program can be quite complex, it is important for us to be thorough when selecting our trainees so that we only choose the most suitable candidates. We look for applicants who fit in with Beiersdorf both professionally and personally and those who are passionate about our brands as well as the trainee program. Procedure of the BEYOND BORDERS Trainee Program

Around 10-15 trainees are recruited from all over the world every year. As a trainee, you are in for an exciting time that you can shape according to your interests. Initially, you will start in one of the teams in our German division. Here, you will get to know the business in one of our most important markets. After three to four months, you will begin your second step where you will take on a strategic perspective and work, for example, on concepts for the subsidiaries in international marketing. These first two assignments will ideally prepare you for the next and most popular step of the program: the six-month assignment abroad! You will work with a team of international colleagues in one of our 170 subsidiaries and get to know the local market through exciting projects. This international step will sharpen your awareness of cultural differences - an indispensable skill for success in a global company. The program is rounded off by a cross-functional step, which you choose individually. This is where you will get to know a functional area outside your focus - for example, as a Brand Management & Digital Marketing Trainee, you can get a taste of Supply Chain or Corporate Development. This will broaden your horizons and your network within the company.
