Your Tasks

As the HR Planning & Analytics team, we create reports and dashboards for HR Managers, Business Partners, and Centers of Excellence. Our intention is to empower users to work effectively with their data. Our vision is to deliver value through summarizing and interpreting substantial amounts of data into actionable insights. On our way to advanced People Analytics, we intend to conduct a pilot predictive analysis.

For this role we are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills that go beyond mastering spreadsheets. We are looking for someone who can think, model and structure data using statistical methods and software. Complex models would need to be simplified into comprehensible results and recommendations – be it verbally or by using appropriate visualizations. We search for a candidate who enjoys working in this area. The candidate will support the implementation of a pilot predictive analysis for Beiersdorf HR.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Create the knowhow and the basis for first predictive people analysis within the Beiersdorf HR area.
  • Contribute to the development of our analytical framework at Beiersdorf and enhance the analytics knowhow in the HR area.
  • Proactively search for new approaches and technologies as well as share knowledge across the team
Your Requirements
  • Student of Statistics or a related field (e.g. Information Systems, Mathematics, Operations Research, Business Informatics, Data Science).
  • Excellent applied statistics skills such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. Statistical skills and preferably experience with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, predictive analytics as well as basic knowledge of machine learning techniques.
  • Proven scripting and programming skills in at least 1 of the following: Python, R, Java.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and understand business data.
  • Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
  • Optionally experienced with data visualization tools.
  • Ideally SAP experience (ERP / BW / AfO).
  • Fluent in English and/or German.
