For the shea butter & organic argan oil product range, Florena uses organically produced argan oil from the Moroccan "Marogania" cooperative. By cultivating argan trees, the initiative protects these endangered plants while simultaneously preventing the spread of the desert in the Essaouira region. In terms of social impact, women in particular benefit from this engagement. Most of the workers who harvest the valuable oil from the argan nuts are women. They receive fair wages from the cooperative that allow them to support their families. In addition, a portion of Marogania's sales income goes to targeted actions for improving life in the region. Profits from sales of argan oil to Florena have, among other things, equipped schools and built a water pump. Accompanying training efforts have also contributed to successful vegetable farming by the villagers.

A further example is the product range for combination skin, one of whose primary ingredients is organic, fair trade green tea from Sri Lanka. The Fair Trade system helps improve the quality of life of small farmers and their families, through guaranteed prices that are 50 percent higher than market rates, as well as free training and technical support. Another of the raw materials is Ecocert certified red rice from the Camargue region of France. These plants serve the important purpose of helping to maintain the fragile environmental balance in this region.
