Water is the basis of all life. However, the earth’s water resources are unevenly distributed and threatened by various influences – such as climate change, rising population, pollution and overuse. Against this backdrop, the responsible use of water is particularly important to us.
At Beiersdorf, water is used in a variety of ways: It is necessary for the manufacturing of our products and is an essential component of our product formulas. It is also used by our consumers when they use our products. In view of this we have defined water as a focus area of our CARE BEYOND SKIN Sustainability Agenda and are taking considerable action to conserve this vital resource. Specifically, we aim to reduce water consumption per manufactured product by 25% by 2025 compared to 2018.
