NIVEA: Skin Care for everyone

NIVEA is part of Beiersdorf AG, a skin care company based in Hamburg. Millions of people around the world trust Beiersdorf. The portfolio includes NIVEA, NIVEA MEN, and NIVEA Lip/Labello/Liposan. These brands offer complete care for face, body, and hair. They also provide sun protection and deodorants. For more than 140 years, Beiersdorf has stood for innovation and skin expertise in over 160 countries.

Sustainability is deeply rooted in NIVEA’s brand values and Beiersdorf’s corporate strategy. Since 2021, all NIVEA products are free from microplastics (UNEP definition). Since 2024, the iconic NIVEA Creme tin contains at least 80% recycled aluminum. This reduces its carbon footprint. In 2025, NIVEA introduced the EcoBeautyScore for face care. Today, 99% of products achieve top ratings.  In 2025, NIVEA introduced the EcoBeautyScore for face care products with  99% of the assortment achieving A and B scores.

NIVEA began in 1911 in Hamburg. Dr. Oscar Troplowitz, head of Beiersdorf, used the new emulsifier Eucerit to create a stable cream that mixed water and oil. This white cream was named NIVEA and revolutionized skin care by making daily care easy, smooth and reliable. These early steps formed the base for the brand. Over time, NIVEA grew and became a global brand known for products made for different skin needs.
