OUR RESEARCH AT A GLANCE

1,000+ PEOPLE IN R&D WORLDWIDE

Innovation is deeply rooted in Beiersdorf’s DNA. Since inventing modern skin care in 1911 with the first stable water-in-oil emulsion – NIVEA Creme – we have continued to set new standards. Our scientific expertise enables us to develop active ingredients that work with the skin: From Coenzyme Q10 and EPICELLINE® against skin aging to Thiamidol® for hyperpigmentation. Also, we advance research in areas such as epigenetics and the skin microbiome.
