positions this includes your participation in an online cognitive ability or personality test. Providing your
personal data as part of the application process is voluntary. However, the provision of personal data is
necessary for the processing of your application or the conclusion of an employment contract with us. The
legal basis of the personal data processing activities to be conducted by Beiersdorf Turkey within the scope of
the recruitment process is the necessity to process your personal data in order to establish contract with you
as per the Art. 5/1 (c) of the LPPD.
We process the personal data of your relatives and / or other third parties that you will share with us during
the recruitment process and with the details of which are mentioned in article 2 of this Privacy Statement, on
legal grounds of our legitimate interests to comply with the procedures of our company and to confirm the
accuracy of the information we have obtained.
When we obtain information from your public profile on professional social networks, such as LinkedIn, we
base this processing on our legitimate interest to build a decision base in order to establish an employment
relationship with you and your publication of your personal data. The legal basis are respectively Article 5/2
(d) your publication of your personal data and (f) of the LPPD which is the presence of our legitimate interest
that is essential for processing your personal data.
When we invite you to participate in a survey on your satisfaction with the application process at Beiersdorf
the relevant legal basis is your explicit consent as per the Article 5/1 of the LPPD.
Furthermore, we may process personal data about you where this is necessary to exercise our rights in case
of legal claims arising from the application process that are brought against us. The legal basis for this is
Article 5/2 (e) and (f) of the LPPD; respectively that it is essential to process your personal data for protecting
and using our rights and that it is our legitimate interest. For example, a burden of proof in proceedings under
the Turkish Labor Law numbered 4867 (“Labor Law”) or Law of Civil Proceedings numbered 6100 may be
deemed as our legitimate interest and using our rights accordingly.
