As a trainee in Supply Chain Management, these are precisely the strengths you’ll need – because your job is to keep a constant eye on the dynamic consumer goods industry, from consumer trends to the competitors’ activities. With your help, we will develop a flexible supply chain that benefits everyone: our business, our consumers, and our retail partners. You will get to know Beiersdorf through different positions according to your individual interests. This also applies to your six months assignment abroad, where you can choose one of our more than 170 subsidiaries. As part of an international trainee network, you will also benefit from cross-functional projects and training and mentoring activities. Are you ready for our trainee program?

We are looking for:

University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Business Administration, ideally with a major in the area of Supply Chain Management or (Industrial) Engineering
Min. 6 months of practical experience
Min. 6 months of experience abroad
Fluency in English
Quick thinking with an entrepreneurial & international mindset
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with pragmatism
Convincing, integer, flexible and resilient personality
Compelling communication skills

Demand or Supply Planning (3 months)

In this first step you will deal hands-on e.g. with tactical planning, demand management, operations planning and inventory optimization to build and deepen your operative knowledge.

Procurement, Production or Logistics (3 months)

For step two you will have the opportunity to learn more about procurement, production or logistics. In your following step abroad you will expand your knowledge of one of the other areas that interest you.

International posting (5 months)

While bringing your experience to our teams abroad, you will gain new perspectives on our business from a local point of view. Working on local supply chain topics at one of our affiliates will sharpen your awareness of cultural differences – an essential skill for leading people in a global and customer-oriented company such as Beiersdorf.

Integrated Innovation Management (3 months)

The Integrated Innovation Management (IIM) is our innovation process. For your fourth step you will gain a clear understanding of what is needed on the supply chain side to develop a new product. You’ll come across make-or-buy decisions, plant allocation and logistics concepts. In these cross-functional projects you will work closely with Marketing, R&D, Packaging Development and Controlling.

Cross-functional assignment (4 months)

This final step gives you the opportunity to literally go beyond borders and deepen your expertise in another department that interests you. You could round up your business understanding by getting to know, for example, Sales, Finance & Controlling or Marketing.
