BEYOND BORDERS – Supply Chain Management

Do you want to be involved from concept to consumer?

Taking a product from development to delivery takes long-term thinking and short-term flexibility. You have to be alert to volatile markets, consumer trends and competitive activity so that you are prepared to change course and make new plans when the need arises. As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will need to see change and challenge as opportunities and support the team in preserving an agile supply chain that benefits the business, the consumer and our suppliers. You design your own trainee program and choose departments according to your interests – also your step abroad in one of our 150 affiliates. Apart from that, you are part of an international trainee network working together on cross-functional projects and being supported by development measures such as trainings and mentoring. This way, you are prepared for an international management career at Beiersdorf!

Steps of the BEYOND BORDERS Supply Chain Management program

  • BEYOND BORDERS – Supply Chain Management

Demand or Supply Planning (3 months)

In this first step you will deal hands-on e.g. with tactical planning, demand management, operations planning and inventory optimization to build and deepen your operative knowledge.

  • BEYOND BORDERS – Supply Chain Management

Procurement, Production or Logistics (3 months)

For step two you will have the opportunity to learn more about procurement, production or logistics. In your following step abroad you will expand your knowledge of one of the other areas that interest you.

  • BEYOND BORDERS – Supply Chain Management

    International posting (5 months)

While bringing your experience to our teams abroad, you will gain new perspectives on our business from a local point of view. Working on local supply chain topics at one of our affiliates will sharpen your awareness of cultural differences – an essential skill for leading people in a global and customer-oriented company such as Beiersdorf.

  • BEYOND BORDERS – Supply Chain Management

    Integrated Innovation Management (3 months)

The Integrated Innovation Management (IIM) is our innovation process. For your fourth step you will gain a clear understanding of what is needed on the supply chain side to develop a new product. You’ll come across make-or-buy decisions, plant allocation and logistics concepts. In these cross-functional projects you will work closely with Marketing, R&D, Packaging Development and Controlling.

  • BEYOND BORDERS – Supply Chain Management

    Cross-functional assignment (4 months)

This final step gives you the opportunity to literally go beyond borders and deepen your expertise in another department that interests you. You could round up your business understanding by getting to know, for example, Sales, Finance & Controlling or Marketing.
