Your Tasks
As a Senior Commercial Controller you will support key management decisions and steer commercial performance across Czechia and Slovakia. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Shopper and Customer Marketing teams, you will translate financial data into actionable insights and drive sustainable business growth.
In this role, you will act as a trusted Finance Business Partner for commercial leadership, providing transparency on performance and supporting strategic decisions.
Your responsibilities:
- Act as a Senior Finance Business Partner for Sales, Marketing, Shopper and Customer Marketing teams
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support commercial strategy, pricing and customer investment decisions
- Lead planning, forecasting and reporting of key commercial KPIs including Net Sales, Customer Budgets, NSP, Gross Margin and investments
- Monitor business performance and proactively identify risks and opportunities
- Support and challenge commercial teams on pricing, promotional strategy and investment decisions
- Evaluate commercial initiatives, promotions and customer agreements to ensure strong ROI
- Drive the commercial planning process across customers, categories and markets
- Ensure financial governance regarding customer investments, accruals and trade terms
- Prepare management reports and strategic analyses supporting leadership decisions
- Drive automation and improvement of commercial controlling tools and reporting
Your Profile
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar
- 5–7 years of experience in Commercial/Business Controlling, ideally in FMCG or consumer goods industry
- Strong business acumen and ability to act as a finance partner to commercial teams
- Experience supporting pricing, promotions and commercial investment decisions
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of SAP and BI tools (Power BI is an advantage)
- Fluent English required, Czech is an advantage
- Excellent analytical skills combined with strategic thinking
- Ability to challenge business partners constructively
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High level of ownership and proactive mindset
