Your Tasks

During your Master's thesis, you will become an integral part of the innovative research and development team at NIVEA Sun. Right from the start, you will work closely with the team and gain practical experience in the development and evaluation of sun protection products.
Your work will focus on a new ISO method for determining the sun protection factor (SPF). Using simplified model formulations, you will work on a fundamental understanding of how and why specific materials and their interactions affect the results of the ISO method and thus make an important contribution to the successful future of Nivea Sun.

  • Formulation of hypotheses
  • Exchange with analytical departments (chemical and physical analysis)
  • Independent planning, execution and documentation of relevant experiments and measurements
  • Evaluation and processing of measurement data
  • Interpretation, classification and communication of results

Your Profile

  • Student of chemical or process engineering, chemistry, material science, physics or related fields
  • Interest in scientific and consumer-relevant questions
  • Good performance in studies
  • Analytical thinking and data analysis
  • Spectroscopic and optical methods, surface science
  • High commitment
  • Fluent in English

YOUR SALARY

Curious about your salary? Your work at Beiersdorf will be fairly remunerated, both with a voluntary internship and with a compulsory internship you earn 2.025 € per month. For a working student activity, our salary is 19,39€ per hour.
