Regulatory Packaging Compliance Manager (f/m/d)

Your Tasks

  • Develop regulatory strategies to counteract the sharply increasing global regulatory challenges in Packaging.
  • Monitor and track emerging international EPR-fee and Plastic tax schemes
  • Establish a Packaging Compliance network in cooperation with industry associations (e.g. Cosmetics Europe, PCPC, etc.)
  • Identify regulatory challenges for Packaging based on risk and global basis to ensure applicable requirements are met for our products that are being sold world-wide
  • Review and approve from the Regulatory perspective new packaging-related  existing packaging raw materials and finished product specifications to assure compliance with the requirements
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance/Safety  concerning corrective action/preventive action implementation

The position is responsible for development and implementation of Global Regulatory Affairs and Product Compliance for all cosmetic and OTC Packagings of BDF excluding Medical Devices. The position interfaces closely with Legal, Packaging and Product Development and Quality Departments to ensure Federal, State, Local and International regulations and compliance efforts in maintaining cosmetics, label compliance and the regulatory implications of the new taxation efforts of various countries for non-recycled materials.

Your Profile

  • University Degree in Packaging Engineering , Material Science or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
  • Relevant industry experience in R&D Packaging or Packaging-related manufacturing, quality Assurance and/or regulatory affairs
  • Some knowledge of Local and Global regulations
  • Ability to communicate written and verbally in a professional manner with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, team-player
  • Excellent command of English is a must. Good German language skills are preferred, the willingness to build such otherwise quickly is required. Additional languages are welcome.
