Your Tasks
Our Global Procurement Indirects Team is a very international and diverse team. We are passionate in what we do, approach projects from a very entrepreneurial angle and are therefore seen as business partners on eye-level by our internal stakeholders. Our team is globally as well as strategically responsible for diverse Indirects categories, like Logistics, CAPEX, Services and IT.
Within the Global Procurement Indirects team we are now looking for a Global Category Manager Professional Services & IT, who will focus on the strategic sourcing of the demands within the portfolio of the respective team in order to develop, shape and implement an optimal sourcing strategy for Beiersdorf.
The position is defined for 20 hrs per week.
Your role as Category Manager includes the following tasks:
- Development and implementing global strategies in alignment with your global demand owner
- Fun and drive to lead interesting pitches and projects as well as negotiating and finalizing master services agreements and project assignments
- Shaping and steering major supplier relations and supplier management program as well as managing different internal Stakeholders up to board level
- Setting up market and competitive analysis with regards to the categories of Professional Services & IT
- Considering our procurement guidelines, risk management processes, negotiation methodologies as well as spend data analysis and KPIs
Your Profile
- Completed university studies or comparable degree
- Several years of professional experience in procurement, preferably in the area of Professional Services and/or IT
- Comfortable taking over responsibility and steering a wide variety of projects and stakeholder for end-to-end procurement processes, while looking for optimization possibilities for the future
- Good knowledge of modern procurement processes, systems, and tools
- Experience in project management and as a project lead of cross-functional and cross-country teams
- Strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills
- Excited about facts and figures for spend analysis, strategic derivations, KPI optimization and complex cost comparison
- Building close team with legal department for closing contract discussions
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Team player
- Fluent in written and spoken English, German skills, further language skills are an advantage
