Your Tasks

As Mechanical Engineer you are part of the Supply Chain Technology Team and will contribute in driving the Category innovation pipeline via development of Beiersdorf’s global Manufacturing asset base for Filling and Packaging equipment.

Relevant tasks would be:

  • Execution of the fill/pack process scale up at PCs (Production Centres) and 3PMs in the Integrated Innovation Management (IIM) and the transfer projects
  • Assessment of technical capabilities/ feasibility at different PCs prior to the product allocation decisions
  • Plan fill/pack equipment investments in IIM projects, defining detailed equipment specification, design discussions with equipment suppliers, execute FATs & SATs together with other functional experts.
  • Supporting local & global project teams in design, selection, purchasing, start-up and handover of new equipment
  • Development of technology standards and support PC development plans for related categories

Your Profile

  • University master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable qualification with good business understanding
  • Several years professional work experience, ideally with processes for cosmetics production, investment planning, hygienic plant design, engineering and construction
  • Sound knowledge of fill/pack equipment & process concept development via latest Safety, Quality, Automation & Digitalization standards
  • Experience with recycled packaging materials and Sustainable packaging initiatives like light-weighing, refillable packaging concepts etc. and their implications on the fill/pack equipment & process.
  • Excellent project management skills in an intercultural working environment
  • Strong leadership skills on personality level (self-reflective, inspire others, enable performance)
  • Strategic thinking skills; act with entrepreneurship; able to balance interests; result-oriented and performance focus.
  • Willingness to travel for realization of international projects
  • Fluent English communication skills spoken and written, further language skills are an advantage
