The North America Supply Chain Project Manager will have responsibility for local operational execution of Launches and Relaunches for our leading brands – managed via IIM Projects. This position will monitor the local milestones, supporting the IIM Projects timelines, identifying, mitigating risks – ensuring on time availability of products to our retailers. This position will also manage local value-added service (VAS) projects, such as Ecomm Packs, Variety Packs, Alternate UPCs, Customer Specific packouts, among others – creating and managing the timeline while leading and collaborating with the lead country local team – both USA and Canada. The role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Quality, R&D, Manufacturing Sites, and local Supply Chain Planning Team.
Your Tasks
Responsibilities may include:
• Support IIM projects by managing local activities through to project completion (planning, executing, managing milestones, and closing project) ensuring on-time tasks, maintaining overall project ownership to assigned resources
• Develops timelines for Local Projects, including projects supporting the e-Comm business - ensures it progresses to plan as well as tracks and communicates (identifies, manages, escalates) critical project milestones, achievements and/or risks
• Track, manage, own, and resolve all project conflicts – collaborating with planning to evaluate scenarios for product phase in/phase out; Achieve high internal customer satisfaction and high service levels at minimal leftover costs, for items being relaunched
• Escalate, challenge, review, and work to address project related changes (i.e. production and supply chain constraints, promotional additions, launch dates changes, demand changes) that challenge the path to success. Mitigate launch risks for new items and support reduction of excess inventory for relaunches items
• Ensure cross-functional partners are informed and tracking with deadlines by proactively communicating with local cross-functional teams along with Beiersdorf Manufacturing Facilities, 3rd Party Manufacturers, Logistics & Transportation teams
• As part of the relaunch process, collaborate with manufacturing facility and planners to support reduction of leftover components and finished goods. Collaborate with Marketing to optimize use of materials, helping to minimize scrapping costs
Communication Scope
• Act as SC’s local point of contact for assigned projects & brands (subject matter expert) at all levels of the organization
• Lead internal status reviews to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to local SC Planning team and transition projects to local SC Planning team, allowing them to assume replenishment responsibilities successfully
• Provide visibility of projects’ status to cross-functional team by using tools developed by the SCPM team – such as Teams’ Planner, Microsoft Project Manager, etc
