Your Tasks
As an Accounting Lead – RTR at Beiersdorf Service India, you will spearhead the full lifecycle of Record to Report (R2R) processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. This role entails working closely with diverse teams across multiple regions to consolidate financial data, manage month-end and year-end closings, and uphold high standards of accounting integrity.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete Record to Report process, owning deliverables from journal entries through to financial close and reporting.
- Drive coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Prepare and critically review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring their accuracy and alignment to regulatory requirements.
- Conduct in-depth account reconciliations, variance analyses, and timely posting of accruals and adjustments.
- Maintain rigorous balance sheet controls and uphold accounting hygiene to support audit readiness and financial integrity.
- Collaborate with SAP support teams to optimize ERP finance modules, troubleshoot system-related issues, and support process automation.
- Engage with internal auditors and external stakeholders to facilitate audit processes and implement audit recommendations.
- Lead initiatives for process improvements, driving automation and standardization to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Partner cross-functionally with business units to translate financial data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Champion continuous improvement by sharing best practices and knowledge within the finance function and broader organization.
Your Profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), or Company Secretary (CWA) with a strong financial acumen.
- A minimum of five years’ progressive experience managing General Ledger and Record to Report processes within a corporate environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in IFRS and local GAAP compliance, with the ability to navigate complex financial reporting requirements.
- Proven experience working within SAP ERP systems, specifically the FI and CO modules, with hands-on knowledge of finance process integration and system enhancements.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities, with an eye for detail and a structured approach to problem-solving and process management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate effective collaboration with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral, enabling clear and concise communication in a multinational environment.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to drive change, prioritize tasks, and work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
