Associate Marketing Director - BLU Asia Hub

Your Tasks

  • Lead brand & innovation strategy for NIVEA in Asia. Actively bridge Global strategy with Asia consumer needs, with the ambition to significantly accelerate our growth in Asia (focus on ASEAN & China) while driving ONE global NIVEA brand.  The role is responsible Asia NIVEA assigned category innovation strategy and pipelines including maximizing of global franchises and developing Asia complimentary innovations.
  • Act as the strategic connector bridging BLU global with Asia expertise in assigned category to translate global strategy for regional relevance & impact.
  • Jointly develop & lead the overall Asia innovation strategy in close cooperation with BLU global and regional Emerging market to deliver (2-5 year) strong Asia innovation strategy, pipelines, and communication, to drive ONE global brand.
  • Collaborate closely with CLT as Asia representative to ensure global innovation fits with Asia market requirement including regulatory and market acceptance.
  • Lead to adapt global innovation to fit with Asian needs (e.g: packaging, formula, claims), and leading Asia complementary innovation projects for China market and assigned category franchises.
  • Utilise strategic consumer insights, market dynamic and trends to identify and drive all future growth opportunities and ensure innovation pipeline is ahead of competition
  • Lead exchange with key Asia MUs countries &Regional Emerging market and BLU stakeholders. (e.g. countries marketing head, R&D, Pack Dev.)

Your Profile

  • University degree in business or marketing
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Innovation / Global Marketing / Product Development & team lead experience
  • Ideally min 5 years’ experience within Asian Cosmetics market, specifically in North East Asia
  • Approaches work with an agile, can-do mindset & is motivated by challenges and problem solving
  • High initiative: someone who’s not just able to harvest ideas but can deliver results
  • Proven experience in leading high performing, cross-functional teams, also within a matrix set-up
  • High level of resilience and assertiveness
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, changing and multi-cultural diverse environment
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
