BSS Tax Manager (all genders)

Your Tasks

  • Execution and supervision of the tax governance/compliance function within the European BSS organisation, in line with the group’s Tax Compliance Management System
  • Steers tax outsourcing model and is the central relationship holder with the external tax provider
  • In-house tax expert for the European BSS team including active involvement in material tax matters e.g. Tax Audits
  • Developing and implementing tax compliance monitoring systems to ensure the timely delivery of tax compliance
  • Ensuring appropriate levels of tax knowledge/awareness within the European BSS organisation and identifying training needs and designing/delivering accordingly
  • Work with external advisors to determine effective means of identifying and communicating legislative change within European territories
  • Main areas of tax covered will be CIT, VAT, WHT and may also deal with local tax specifics e.g. Plastics Tax
  • Reviewing Transfer Pricing documentation for European affiliates prepared by BSS accountants/external tax advisors
  • Reviewing tax accounting (including forecasts) prepared by BSS accountants, including Effective Tax Rate reviews and deferred tax positions
  • Building strong relationships with BSS accountants, affiliate finance managers and the group tax team and ensures regular exchange between all parties on tax matters
  • Implement tax KPI reporting for European tax compliance and regularly inform key stakeholders within the organisation
  • Provide support on impairment testing of assets
  • Work with internal stakeholders and advisors to identify and implement any tax opportunities
  • Exercise effective people management responsibility of the Tax Coordinator

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar
  • Professional tax qualification or other professional finance qualification
  • Several years of experience in tax positions within multinational companies and / or advisory firms (in-house experience is preferable)
  • Strong knowledge of tax compliance and steering tax compliance
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing rules, cross border transactions and application of double taxation treaties
  • Fluent in English for business purposes
  • Knowledge of SAP, IFRS
