Your Tasks

The Manufacturing Design & Investment is an International Team within Supply Chain Technology, which globally leads the asset development and owns the investment planning for Beiersdorf sites assuring its future proof, safe and efficient factory, and process system design. Our manufacturing network is going through a major transformation and dealing with an unprecedent investment volume for all regions, therefore this vacancy is a unique career opportunity to belong into a such and impactful challenge.

The tasks include:

  • Handling strategic construction and factory projects, which are highly complex in nature and require broad interdepartmental stakeholder management.  Lead the long-term development and deployment of site investment plans.
  • Work very closely with our Factory leadership to ensure we build to standard specifications where we can, and to local requirements where needed. Additionally, collaborate across Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and other key areas in relation to CAPEX projects.
  • Deliver capability and technology, assuring capital project design, development, and execution from concept through closure while ensuring vertical startups.
  • Define performance criteria, develop timelines, estimate capital budgets and business case, closely managing spend.
  • Promote methodical fact-based decisions derived from data which are critical to the success of each project Capex.
  • Support the technical teams to investigate any project challenges with necessary risk assessment resources and techniques then implements corrective measures.
  • Coordinate the various stakeholders of the project including but not limited to senior leaders, subcontractors, support and engineering organization, shop personnel.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all interested parties and evaluating project effectiveness and efficiency, while communicating project status to the appropriate stakeholders and providing follow-up support for all questions or concerns.
  • Capture lessons learned and observing opportunities for continuous improvement for future projects.
  • Scouting & benchmarking of industry trends / technologies

Your Profile

  • Master's Degree in engineering /life science/ business administration with several years of proven track record in Supply Chain/Engineering Positions leading high volume investments.
  • Relevant professional experience and knowledge in construction, manufacturing process- and plant-engineering with high technical understanding
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, proven to manage many stakeholders at all levels and across different geographies.
  • Innovative mindset, challenging status quo and continuously looking for opportunities to improve deliverables.
  • Functional leadership and project management experience.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, SAP
  • Fluent English mandatory, additional language skill required (preferably Spanish or East European language)
  • Ability to navigate in a matrixed organization, understand complex challenges and facilitate strong mitigation plans and solutions. High communicative competence and cooperation skills, also at international level.
  • Confident appearance and persuasive power
  • Analytical skills and target-oriented working methods
  • Excellent leadership/communication/presentation skills.
