Your Tasks

The Beiersdorf Study Center plays a crucial role in the research and development division by conducting clinical studies to prove the tolerability and efficacy of skin care products as well as doing consumer and sensory research. It focuses on screening new active ingredients, characterizing prototype formulas, and ensuring claim support for product efficacy and tolerability before market launch. The center is equipped with advanced facilities for various testing conditions and utilizes both internal and external studies to gather comprehensive data.

•    Leading Beiersdorf internal study business and making sure resources are spent efficiently
•    Making sure the study center is and stays future ready regarding technologies, methods and processes
•    Volunteer Management, i.e. maintenance and development of volunteer pool incl. Call Center activities and implementing digital recruitment into the operational business
•    Overseeing Marketing activities like Beiersdorf Study Center homepage, Social Media presence
•    Steering Medical Examination of new volunteers and the volunteer pool
•    Independent, proactive management of challenging projects and studies, including the development of complex study designs
•    Planning and conducting clinical studies and applying biophysical measurement methods and clinical assessments together with a team
•    Implementation of new test methods in a matrix organization and supporting vision for a data-driven organization
•    Making sure study investigators are trained regularly
•    Key contact for Data Protection in R&D
•    Manage financial planning and budgeting for the Beiersdorf Study Center, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives

Your Profile

•    Relevant, successfully completed technical and scientific degree in a field such as cosmetic science, biotechnology, food chemistry, pharmacy
or
•    Completed training with several years of professional experience in processing cosmetic product evaluation studies
•    Experience in leading the operational business of a CRO (Contract Research Organization) is a must
•    Knowledge of methods of in-vivo efficacy and tolerability testing, consumer and sensory testing
•    Strong teamwork and communication skills and being able to work in a matrix structure, being able to lead bigger teams
•    Openness to new ideas and digital approaches
•    Very good written and spoken German and English skills
