Your Tasks

Would you like to start your career in a team driving Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA)?

  • As a Post-doc in the Lab Dermal Toxicology / ADME you will focus on non-animal testing methods for toxicokinetics, studies for inhalation toxicity and endocrine disruption testing.
  • Together with your colleagues you develop, evaluate, and perform non-animal testing methods and approaches with focus on dermal absorption, skin and liver metabolism, local toxicity and the evaluation of potential endocrine disruptors. Thereby we support the development of safe, sustainable and active cosmetic ingredients for global Beiersdorf. Analysis, interpretation, documentation and presentation of the data will lie within your responsibilities.
  • You use your excellent communication and coordination skills in participation and leading projects and in coordinating internal and external orders. You will provide high quality ADME data for PBK modelling. Besides, you participate in multifunctional project teams, building a scientific bridge to Corporate Safety in Next Generation Risk Assessment process.
  • Additionally, you build and/or foster successful co-operations with external partners such as research associations, institutes, universities, contract research institutes, consultants.

Your Profile

  • PhD in natural sciences with a focus on ADME and/or toxicology and a strong background in cell biochemistry.
  • Working experience in developing and validating non-animal testing methods, preferably for toxicokinetics, inhalation toxicity studies and/or in vitro endocrine testing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory demands of cosmetics is a plus.
  • Expertise in leading scientific projects
  • With your scientific curiosity you bring up new ideas to the team. But you are also able to develop and accept pragmatic solutions.
  • You like to communicate and present your ideas and results to diverse target groups.
  • Familiar with standard IT applications.
  • Fluent in English and willingness to learn German.
