Strategic Network Manager (all genders)

Your Tasks

As a Strategic Network Manager (f/m/d) you will have a global overview of the entire Beiersdorf supply chain network for your categories and responsible for where we produce a product in the network.  In this critical role, you will have global responsibility for analyzing and driving new product allocation decisions, which will shape the production network for Beiersdorf for coming years for the category. You will work closely with the Innovation teams at one end and Production Centers and Markets at the other end to decide optimal network production / sourcing decisions as well as proactively drive reallocation decisions across the network. The role involves regular stakeholder management at multiple levels including supply chain leadership team members across the globe.

Furthermore, your tasks include:

  • Prepare global allocation decisions for new products at Production Centers and 3PMs (including make or buy) both within the Integrated Innovation Management process (IIM) and re-allocations outside this process
  • Footprint projects / Re-allocation management:  Take the lead / collaborate in footprint projects regarding Supply Network concepts (Production Centers / 3PM’s) for relevant categories.
  • Drive efficiency, improve flexibility, and increase responsiveness of the Beiersdorf supply network for the categories through proactive insights and decision-making.
  • Synchronize flow and delivery of products and materials through the supply network while balancing network capacity, inventory and other input variables throughout the network through iterative network optimization actions.
  • Development of existing/ new tools, templates & competencies to ensure continuous improvement in sophistication of network analytics, decision-making and communication.

Your Profile

  • Outstanding degree from a university or specialized college (Master's/graduate degree/PhD) or a top business school MBA
  • Core background experience of working in a manufacturing plant, planning experience.
  • Robust understanding of supply chain finance.
  • Excellent knowledge and operational experience in planning, evaluating and optimizing production and logistics networks, including business case calculations and holistic cost optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed communication skills, customer orientation.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Experience of working in cross functional, intercultural and international teams
  • Good know how in SAP ERP and deep know how in MS Office. Experience in working with databases are an advantage.
  • Experience with supply chain digitalization and network simulation preferred
