Your Tasks

As Category Manager you play a pivotal role in driving distribution & visibility, maximizing sales opportunities with the intend to (over)deliver topline (NS and VMS) in a sustainable way in the short and long run for Cosmetics. You will be rresponsible for the development of strategic & business oriented category vision and strategic plans by using all relevant data & sources of information (Nielsen, GFK, OPEX, retailer sell-out data, etc) in order to define clear objectives & a relevant long term category vision.

  • Focus on increasing the CWD of the BDF CORE assortment
  • Ensuring the MSL is defined + executed per retailer environment
  • Identifying opportunities based on analysis of Nielsen/Sell-out data + implementing these insights at the customers
  • Monitor on a monthly basis the evolution of the CWD/TDP
  • Advise the customers/NAMs on the introductions & switches taking into account all financial KPIs
  • Work closely together with the sales team to ensure a faster distribution of innovations in the stores
  • Constantly track the SOS evolution at the key retailers via analysis of retailer planograms + implement action plan to reach fair share
  • Ensuring the QOS improves by defining & implementing an action plan at key retailers with focus on Skin Care
  • Providing Merchandizing recommendations (planograms) for the customers & NAMs
  • Advise the POS department
  • Integrate OPEX learnings from EU/MU/NL in the NL local strategy
  • Drive follow-up of the opportunities within the category team & with NAMs.
  • Work closely together with international colleagues from the headquarters on the OPEX opportunity identification, and implementation.
  • VMS STEERING: Together with marketing responsible for the VMS steering + estimation of category growth input for key financial deadlines (FCST3 , FCST 6, ABP, LE)
  • In the lead of Business/inno Reviews at Key Retailers so important to build meaningful relationships with the customers with a view to deliver mutually beneficial category opportunities
  • Active participation in the category teams to ensure the delivery of category business targets/ managing the internal P&L for the relevant categories
  • Lead cultural change (speak-up / crucial conversations, open communication, prioritization, DE&I)
  • Inspire team with latest technology / developments instore--> to be the best and leading skin care company in the world
  • Working as 1 team together with BE S&CM team and with Europe S&CM team.

Your Profile

  • University, preferably Master degree
  • Around 3 years of experience in Analytical FMCG roles (RGM/CATMAN/FINANCE). Preferably in the local market Netherlands.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Advanced in M365, Nielsen, GFK, Power BI
  • Strong analytical skills
  • General Sales expertise (negotiation, customer management) preferred
  • General S&CM expertise (catman, RGM) preferred
