Supply-Chain Sustainability through cooperation and transparency

We insist that suppliers meet our own high standards – not only regarding product quality but also by conducting their business in a transparent, fair and responsible way. We are committed to protecting human rights and do not tolerate any form of forced or compulsory labor in direct or indirect association with our activities. We cooperate closely with our suppliers and support them in establishing a sustainable supply chain. By ensuring they fulfill their social, ecological and economic responsibilities we can offer our consumers sustainable, high-quality products.
Beiersdorf’s Code of Conduct (CoC) for Suppliers is compulsory and an integral part of our contracts with them. The CoC is fully aligned with our company’s Core Values and sets out binding criteria for responsible business. Our CoC for Suppliers covers the following critical areas:

  • Corruption
  • Exclusion of forced labor and disciplinary measures
  • Prohibition of child labor
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Employee rights regarding working hours and remuneration
  • Freedom of association and the right to collective negotiations
  • Discrimination
  • Environmental protection
  • Ethical management approach and corporate governance.
Furthermore, it is oriented towards:

  • The UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights
  • The Conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO)
  • The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises
  • All applicable country-specific laws and statutory requirements.

We seek and nurture long-term business relationships with supply-chain partners who demonstrate their compliance and share our principles of sustainable, ethical business.
