Our current Status on Gender Equity

We announced our Beiersdorf Gender Parity Ambition on International Women‘s Day 2021. The aim was to promote gender diversity in leadership positions. We wanted to achieve a 50/50 gender balanced leadership across all management positions worldwide below the Executive Board by 2025 (management levels 1-4). This gender parity was achieved earlier than planned: As of September 2023, 50.3% of management positions worldwide were held by women.
We are committed to fulfilling our legal obligations and giving women equal access to management positions. In accordance with the German “Law on Equal Participation of Women and Men in Leadership Positions”, Beiersdorf AG is required to set targets for the percentage of women on the first two senior management levels below the Executive Board, including periods for achieving these targets.

50/50 gender parity 2023

For the Supervisory Board of Beiersdorf AG, a statutory minimum percentage of 30% female and male members applies; for the Executive Board, a statutory minimum requirement of at least one woman and one man applies. In addition to this, as part of our diversity concept for the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board, the Supervisory Board also sets a voluntary target for the proportion of women on these boards in each case.

Regarding the percentage of women on our Supervisory Board the Executive Board and the first two senior management levels, the current targets are as follows:

Beiersdorf AG

Supervisory Board:

Current target: Share of women at least 33%.

As of December 31, 2024, the proportion of women was 58.3%.

Executive Board: 

Current target: Share of women at least 30%.

As of December 31, 2024, the proportion of women was 42.9%.

1st management level: 

Current target until December 31, 2026: Share of women at least 35%.

As of December 31, 2024, the proportion of women was 43.9%.

2nd management level:

Current target until December 31, 2026: Share of women at least 50%.

As of December 31, 2024, the proportion of women was 46.8%.

Beiersdorf Manufacturing Hamburg GmbH

In the Consumer Business Segment, Beiersdorf Manufacturing Hamburg GmbH is required by law alongside Beiersdorf AG to set targets for the share of women on the Supervisory Board and Managing Director level, as well as on the two most senior management levels below the Managing Directors.

The target percentages and compliance periods for achieving the share of women are currently as follows:
 

Supervisory Board: Current target until December 31, 2025: Share of women at least 33%

Managing Directors: Current target until December 31, 2025: Share of women at least 0% *
1st management level: 

Current target until December 31, 2025: Share of women at least 50% 

2nd management level:

Current target until December 31, 2025: Share of women at least 37.14% 

*Beiersdorf Manufacturing GmbH employs only one Managing Director. At the time of stetting the target, this position was held by a man; currently it is also held by a man.
