Your Tasks

The objectives of OPEX (Operational Growth Excellence) in EUNA is to re-ignite growth and to accelerate Beiersdorf Net Sales (NS) and Gross Profit (GP € and %) development by establishing a systematic and holistic Growth Program across markets/categories and channels/customers. The Program is fundamentally rooted in:

  • A deep analytical understanding of the consumer and shopper rules of the category based in incremental penetration
  • A repeatable growth model for Europe to drive disciplined top-and bottom-line growth
  • The systematic way of operating the business: fact-based and disciplined decision making, embedded in business cycles, and long-lasting capabilities build up

The Senior Regional Acceleration Manager for OPEX will be at the heart of driving and embedding this program in the different markets as the new way to do business for Beiersdorf in EUNA.

You will be working very closely with the countries’ leadership teams and senior stakeholders, helping the country teams to find incremental growth opportunities for top and bottom line, and frequently being exposed to EUNA leadership team members.

Your tasks are focused on driving the OPEX growth model, linking the strategic analysis to actions, building capabilities and being a champion in adoption of the OPEX program. In this role you develop your skills in driving transformation and finding opportunities. In addition, you gain a significant and in-depth business understanding for the complete region of Europe / North America. Also, you will gain significant expertise through working very closely with the experts from the Consulting Companies & further development of the program.

  • Lead, steering and coaching the country teams in running an OPEX program over the course of 12 weeks per country / category
  • Work closely with the countries and OAT team in Poland to continue to drive high quality analysis output for the local teams to leverage to drive data led conversations
  • Pro-actively identify any roadblocks during the country OPEX growth plan or delivery phase – involving the right stakeholders to help unlock these
  • Capture new learnings on approach/deployment in the region – sharing back with other countries & the regional team.
  • Champion the cultural change and the embedding of the OPEX repeatable growth model

Your Profile

  • Several years of profound experience and responsibilities within sales, marketing or commercial excellence roles and project management
  • Experience working in/working closely with several local markets, a local OPEX leadership role is a pre.
  • Strong analytical and business sense.
  • High level of drive to get things done with a strong pro-active attitude.
  • Able to work with international mindset & environments, shown organizational & cultural sensitivity.
  • Sufficient understanding and relationship building with key stakeholders, allowing to quickly identify who & when to engage right stakeholders in process.
  • Proven ability to effectively engage teams, from listening to facilitating dialogue to converging to actions
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken)
  • Degree within relevant field of economics, commercial or marketing studies
  • Good understanding of core business tools within Beiersdorf (SAP; Nielsen; Other data sources).
