Your Tasks
We are looking for a Romanian qualified lawyer with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience to provide legal support to our business operations in South-Eastern Europe (Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova). You will be located in our office in Bucharest and report into the Director Legal & Compliance Eastern Europe.
As part of the team of Beiersdorf SEE, you'll be a trusted advisor of the local leadership team as well as a core partner for the business, responsible for all legal and compliance matters. As such, you act as a center of expertise, providing strong and solution-oriented legal advice to help the company achieve its goals. In the same time you’ll have the opportunity to work in a multi geography set-up, expanding the knowledge and collaboration skills at regional level (Country Unit SEE and Management Unit Eastern Europe).
What will be your key responsibilities?
• Build and shape an efficient Legal & Compliance (advice/service) structure in the SEE region
• Serve as principal legal advisor for the Management team
• Provide legal advice, offering business-oriented solutions, to all businesses with a specific focus on commercial contracts (sales and distribution contracts), reviewing, drafting and advising on contracts, as well as reviewing and advising on advertising claims, campaign/promo regulations and conditions. Other areas will include advice on various labor law related issues, corporate, data protection and compliance.
• Be “first line of defense” on legal and compliance matters including litigations, authority matters and data privacy topics
• Implement the Corporate Compliance Program, monitor and improve compliance processes and risk mitigation measures, conduct compliance trainings, compliance reporting
Your Profile
• Proactive and decisive in approach, solution-driven with ‘enabler’ mentality
• Fluent communications skills in English
• Solid experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
• Good knowledge of competition compliance law and marketing law
• Team player, open minded, autonomous and have good prioritization skills
• Digital/Legal tech skills & capabilities
• Cosmetic laws and Medical device/healthcare knowledge as a plus
Qualifications
• Law degree Romania (fully qualified lawyer, Bachelor of Laws, or Master of Laws etc.)
• Profound experience as in-house lawyer, min 3 years’ experience
• Law firm experience as a plus
