Your Tasks

1.  1.Designing packaging systems: develop packaging systems that meet specific requirements for product protection, cost, and environmental impact.

2.  2.Testing and evaluating packaging materials: conduct testing on packaging materials to ensure they meet the necessary standards for strength, durability, and environmental impact. Evaluate the packaging system's ability to protect the product during transit.

3. 3. Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures: identify cost-saving opportunities in packaging design and materials selection without compromising on the product's quality or protection.

4. Ensuring regulatory compliance: Ensure that packaging materials and systems comply with relevant regulations and standards, such as those related to product safety, hazardous materials, and environmental impact.

5.   Collaborating with cross-functional teams: work closely with teams across an organization, such as MKT, manufacturing, logistics, and formula, to ensure that the packaging meets the needs of all stakeholders.

Your Profile

1.Education: A bachelor's degree in packaging engineering or materials science, or a related field is typically required. Some employers may prefer candidates with a master's degree in packaging engineering.

2.    Technical skills: A package engineer should have a strong technical background in packaging materials, design, and testing. They should be familiar with the latest packaging technologies and have passion in learning various software tools to design and analyze packaging systems.

3.    Problem-solving skills: A package engineer should be able to identify problems in packaging design and develop effective solutions to address them. They should be able to balance competing priorities and make informed decisions that meet both the product and business objectives.

4.    Communication skills: A package engineer should have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams across the organization. They should be able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide clear, concise instructions to suppliers and manufacturers.

5.    Industry experience: A package engineer should have at least 3-5 years of experience in the packaging industry, with a proven track record of designing and developing successful packaging materials and systems.
