Your Tasks
As part of the Health Care Supply Chain Technology Team, the Technology Development Engineer will play a key role in driving technical implementation of new products and processes across Beiersdorf’s global healthcare supply network. This includes developing and scaling up production technologies such as coating, converting, packaging, and more, both internally and with Third-Party Manufacturers (TPMs).
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead product and process development from pilot to industrial scale, including planning and executing trials, and ensuring smooth handover to operations.
Define and implement technical and process standards with a strong focus on Safety, Quality, Automation, Digitalization, and Lean Manufacturing.
Collaborate with local and global cross-functional teams to bring innovative healthcare solutions to the market efficiently.
Manage equipment and process investments, ensuring regulatory compliance and validation (FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ).
Support local engineering teams with CAPEX planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct technical audits and assessments of TPMs, and guide them through validation, trial execution, and production ramp-up.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation aligned with medical device standards (e.g., URS, SOPs, FMEAs, BOMs).
Drive standardization of best practices to strengthen process reliability and operational excellence.
Your Profile
Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or similar) with a strong technical and business understanding.
Professional experience in Pharma, Medical Devices, or FMCG, ideally in Production, Engineering or Project Management environments.
Proven ability to lead technical projects in a global and cross-functional setup, with a strong performance and solution-oriented mindset.
Solid knowledge of validation processes and regulatory requirements in the healthcare sector.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across cultures and disciplines.
Fluent in English and Spanish; other languages are an asset.
Willingness to travel occasionally based on project needs.
