Your Tasks

We are looking for an experienced Import Specialist to manage import operations across Mexico, the United States, and Canada. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate customs documentation, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination with customs brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of international trade processes, excellent organizational skills, and advanced English communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate import operations across Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
  • Review and validate import documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs regulations.
  • Ensure required letters, authorizations, and supporting documents are properly signed and uploaded.
  • Coordinate daily activities with customs brokers, freight forwarders, vendors, and internal business partners.
  • Monitor customs clearance processes and follow up on workflows to ensure timely execution.
  • Maintain and update master data related to import operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regional customs regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and resolve import-related issues while minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth cross-border operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize customs and import processes.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in import operations or customs compliance.
  • Experience managing cross-border import operations, preferably across Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
  • Strong understanding of customs documentation and import procedures.
  • Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of customs regulations in Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
