The job holder is accountable for the Finance Accounting Operation at BSS Hub Poland, delivering a full-fledged, Shared Services Accounting for 9 European affiliates (Beiersdorf/La Prairie) in scope according to IFRS, local GAAPs and Beiersdorf Group standards. BSS Hub Poland “Accounting” is organizationally embedded and steered by Finance Services Europe (Hamburg).
Main accountabilities:
Strategy
- Support the development and implementation of the global Finance and Shared Services strategy for Beiersdorf together with GFS Management
Financial Accounting, Financial statements and monthly, quarterly closing
- Responsible for the integrity, efficiency and quality of financial accounting (RTR, OTC, PTP) and closings according to IFRS, local GAAP and Beiersdorf
Group standards (Finance Navigator, GPM and SOPs) for 9 European affiliate s.
- Responsible that financial and statutory statements for all serviced affiliates are complete, consistent, comparable audit proofed. Responsibility for timely
and qualitative delivery of the monthly, quarterly and YE closings
- Responsible for local Finance tasks to ensure an effective Credit Management (Cash collection) and Supplier management.
- Main focus on internal stakeholder Management (GM, Finance directors) as well as external stakeholder management (e.g. external audit, 3rd party providers).
Accounting Governance, Health and Transformation / Organization and Processes
- Manage the adherence to standards and foster the continuous improvement of the Accounting processes according to the defined global standards.
- Responsible that all country specific deviations are documented properly and reviewed regularly. Ensure all processes in the area of responsibility are
managed in a lean and efficient way making use of all available options.
Compliance, Audits and Risk controls
- Responsible for the effectiveness of the internal control system by supporting, reviewing and conducting internal audits, risk controls (RCM) and trainings.
- Responsible that internal and external auditors are provided with adequate, well-timed and reliable information.
Leadership

- University degree in Business Administration
- 5+ years of experience in various Finance/ Accounting roles
- Leadership experience including management and change management experience
- In-depth knowledge in the development and implementation of new structures and processes as well as leading international roll-outs/projects
- In-depth knowledge and experience in financial systems (SAP FI/CO) and international and local finance practice (IFRS, local Gaap & taxes)
- Deep knowledge of the Beiersdorf Group
- Excellent social skills and personal integrity, highly accepted within the Finance Community
- Strong in communication and analytic team player with a hands-on mentality
