Your Tasks
Beiersdorf NV — home to around 100 dedicated employees — is looking for a Financial Controller Benelux to join our team. This is a 1-year assignment with the prospect of joining the organization permanently after a successful assignment.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in steering financial operations across the Netherlands and Belgium, ensuring compliance, driving insights, and supporting strategic decision-making.
- Own General Expenses/Indirects planning and forecasting across Benelux
- Challenge budgets, analyze spend, and identify risks & opportunities
- Provide insights to senior leadership and steer cost allocations
- Improve processes and tools to drive efficiency and profitability
- Manage cost splits and intercompany charges
- Ensure transparency in transactions with global Beiersdorf entities
- Support audits and manage DSO with cross-functional teams
- Lead balance sheet reviews
- Participate in relevant local and global finance projects
- Partner with Head of Finance to steer the Profit & Loss account
- Ensure accurate accruals at month end, quarter end and year end closing
- Create commentaries across functions for reporting to Headquarter
- Work as one team with the Benelux Finance team and France Benelux Financial Controlling
- Drive alignment and synergies across countries and functions
- Promote Power BI usage and participate in regional initiatives
Your Profile
- A university degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5–7 years of experience in Financial Controlling and/or Financial Accounting
- Fluency in English; Dutch and/or French is a strong plus
- Affinity with systems like Excel, SAP, and Power BI
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, pragmatic mindset with attention to detail
- A determined, can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure
- Experience working in international teams or settings
