Your Tasks
The Procurement Category Manager- North America Marketing is responsible for the definition & deployment of category strategies for North America spend in synchronization with global & regional category strategies based on related priorities, strategic SC and procurement frameworks (e.g. ways of working in matrix) and continuous alignment with relevant business stakeholders within the organization to maximize effective Business Partnering.
Responsible for contract handling, negotiation and all procurement activities for assigned North America spend and suppliers within the attended Marketing categories, against the overall target to maximize the procurement value contribution (e.g. cost development, supply security, improved services, agility, innovation etc.) leveraging the full range of options available in the market.
Responsible for compliance with procurement standards and processes as well as driving supplier relationship management. This role will be based out of the US headquarters in Stamford, CT. and subject to the Hybrid working policy which does require three days in the office.
We are looking for an individual who can hit the ground running (‘check all the boxes’) and may also bring a unique blend of competence and capabilities that can grow into a role and/or bring new skills to the team. Key deliverables of the role will include but are not limited to the following:
Strategy & Governance:

Conducting regular market research & analysis for own categories
-
Leading the definition of global/regional/local strategy for own categories based on relevant market research and analysis

Responsible for strategy implementation in all Procurement activities

Consulting global/regional/local strategy development in similar categories within area
Procurement & Business Partnering

Negotiating and contracting frame conditions with suppliers (prices, TCO, payment terms, quality levels, etc.) for own categories towards objectives agreed with the demand owner or set by global/regional/local initiatives along a defined global/regional/local category roadmap

Continuously monitoring the related activities for opportunities to maximize Procurement value contribution

Guiding business partners on Procurement practices and processes
