Your Tasks

  • Define appropriate approaches and methodologies for analysis, visualization, mining, and interpretation of big data to support animal-free risk assessment.
  • Support with precise and timely statistical analysis of omics data, and exposure modeling aligned with project goals
  • Seek actively novel computational methodologies to enable Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA).
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, as well as with external collaborators to provide scientific expertise on bioinformatics and computational biology.
  • Joint responsibility for developing, implementing and use of computational tools (e.g. PBPK modeling), and databases to evolve predictive toxicology applications.
  • Joint responsibility to facilitate data management & automatization in Beiersdorf.

Your Profile

  • PhD degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, data science or a related scientific discipline.
  • Deep understanding of complex big biological data, and computational approaches and its roles in predictive toxicology and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with common bioinformatics databases, and tools, as well as experience in machine-learning approaches.
  • Strong technical expertise in programming languages in R or Python is mandatory.
  • Working experience in using R for high-throughput pharmacokinetics modeling is a plus.
  • High degree of flexibility and motivation, good analytical skills, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluent in English and willingness to learn German
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
