Policy and Advocacy Manager EU, Consumer/Cosmetics (all genders)

Your Tasks

Strategic supporting position within our Corporate R&D Headquarters, tasked to conceive and execute advocacy measures for our products (raw materials and finished products), thus helping to secure a viable regulatory frame.

The candidate will interact proactively with R&D teams, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing, Legal, Corporate Communications, as well as external stakeholders, incl. trade associations and selected policy makers.

The Policy & Advocacy Manager will provide policy analysis and advocate on key European development policy issues. This role will focus on executing our advocacy strategy with the EU institutions and in other Member States.

Responsibilities

Monitor and anticipate evolving regulations to allow a foresightful conception and effective execution of targeted advocacy measures to foster positive regulatory developments in the field of cosmetics and cross-sectorial in chemicals, environmental and related regulations, with a focus on Europe.

Conceive and execute targeted advocacy measures in the field of cosmetics and related cross-sectorial regulations. Build a network with key political stakeholders to achieve the best possible regulatory frame for the Beiersdorf business. Represent the interests of our company in trade associations, most importantly Cosmetics Europe.

Your Profile

  • University degree with experience in industry (personal care, FMCG, food, chemicals, pharma, medical devices, etc.) or alternatively in agencies, NGOs, legislative bodies.

  • Background and proven track record in direct and / or indirect advocacy. The candidate should have an understanding of the European political scene and policy-making processes.

  • The ability to understand relevant technical-scientific topics and to translate them for stakeholders.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills as required for internal and external networking.

  • An open, global mindset characterized by positivity, flexibility, and adaptability with agile thinking.

  • Ability to cope with stress and dynamic changes of the business environment.
