Global Telephony Service Engineer

Beiersdorf Shared Services HUB in Mexico City is a dynamic and proactive IT Hub for Beiersdorf IT, that plays a critical role in enabling global business success. We work closely with our major well-known brands (such as NIVEA), functions, and markets to deliver innovative, reliable, and efficient information and data technologies. 
In the IT Operations department of Beiersdorf we are responsible for delivering IT infrastructure services on a global scale to the entire Beiersdorf Group, which comprises more than 20,000 employees worldwide. Our primary focus is to ensure uninterrupted IT operations through efficient automation.

Your Tasks

  • Design, deploy and maintain telephony infrastructure based on Microsoft Teams with focus on Direct Routing
  • Provide 3rd level of support for global telephony users to meet the SLA requirements
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of telephony solutions with other enterprise systems and applications
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to telephony solutions and processes
  • Continuous service improvements: evaluate and implement new equipment and technology trends, keep existing environment up to date with patches and updates
  • Continuation and further development of automation in the telephony area
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices for telephony systems.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance and timely resolution of issues.

Your Profile

  • Education in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT and / or the consulting industry.
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Teams Voice (Direct Routing). Skype for Business experience is good addition.
  • Strong understanding and depth of experience in voice & collaboration technologies: SIP trunking, AudioCodes SBC and OVOC.
  • Understanding the network requirements for VoIP/SIP.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell Scripting or Ansible Automation.
  • Experience with Azure networking and security services.
  • Experience in ITIL processes / ITSM (ServiceNow) desired.
  • Experience in collaboration with service providers.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish language. Other languages are considered an advantage.
  • Experience in other related VoIP services like fax servers (SaaS), call center solutions, Poly devices, etc.
  • Microsoft certifications in Teams are preferred.
